WHAT’S INCLUDED
Provisional itinerary – excursions and activities may be subject to change
– 3 nights bed and breakfast at the Albion Hotel
– Lunch (Friday & Saturday) and dinner (Thursday-Friday-Saturday)
– Last Post Ceremony at the Menin Gate
– Guided walking tour of Ypres, including the Ramparts Cemetery and Menin Gate.
– Visit to Hooge Crater Cemetery and Museum, with a tour around a reconstructed trench
– Visit to Essex Farm Cemetery, Langemark German Cemetery and Tyne Cot/Passchendaele Cemetery.
– Tasting tour of the Kazematten Brewery, where the Wipers Times was printed
– Performance of The Men Who Marched Away from GreenMatthews in St George’s Memorial Church
– We’ll be joined for the trip by Great War historian David Allton, who’ll be leading the tours and will be on hand to answer any question you might have.

GETTING TO YPRES from the UK
DRIVING
Ypres is 90 minutes drive from Calais (ferry/Eurotunnel) and 60 minutes drive from Dunkirk (ferry). The hotel charges €15 per night for parking.
TRAIN
Eurostar sell a return ticket to any Belgian station (via Brussels Midi) from London St Pancras. The Albion Hotel is a 15 minute walk from Ypres train station.
AIR
The nearest airport is Brussels. It’s possible to then take a train from the airport to Ypres, changing at Kortrijk.
